Profile

Murilo Dias is a member of the technical team at the Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) based at the Research IT group in Trinity College Dublin (TCD). He holds a higher diploma in software development from Dublin City University (DCU) and has international experience in a variety of roles including design, consulting, management, and software development.

Passionate about technology, Murilo switched career after eight successful years working in electrical engineering in the construction industry. During the transition, he acquired new skills necessary for dealing with software development and brings his previous skills and experiences to his new role.

Always connected to new techniques, technologies, and approaches, Murilo is very motivated to provide users with modern tools to allow them to access and use the assets in the Repository, at the same time preserving the content for future generations. He works in coordination with a wider multidisciplinary team of knowledgeable professionals.

DRI is funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (DFHERIS) via the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and the Irish Research Council (IRC).
