Letter to Lieut. Thomas A. Larcom, Superintendent of the Ordnance Survey, from John O'Donovan written from Aughnacloy, Co. Armagh, concerning the history of, and placenames within, the Caledon and Aughnacloy area. Included is an attached note written by T.R. Robinson and dated 1844, containing information on local anecdotes. This letter deals primarily with the local history and traditions in and around Caledon, with particular reference to Kinard Castle, and includes speculations concerning the pedigree of the MacKenna family.
