Letter to Lieut. Thomas A. Larcom, Superintendent of the Ordnance Survey, from John O'Donovan, written from Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo, concerning the history, antiquities and topography of the parishes of Sruille (Shrule), Kilmaine beg (Kilmainebeg,), Kilmaine more (Kilmainemore) and Moorgaugagh (Moorgagagh), with particular reference to their early churches, holy wells, castles and the origins of their place names. Included are related extracts from the 'Annals of the Four Masters'. Original document: 16 pp.
