Recommendations and Guidelines on COVID-19 data sharing to be presented 4th Sept at ESOF2020 Trieste.
COVID-19 research and research support play heavily in the programme for ESOF2020, this year’s EuroScience Open Forum which takes place this week onsite in Trieste and online.
On Friday Sept 4 at 7:30am Irish time (8:30am CEST /6:30am UTC) the RDA COVID-19 working group, co-chaired by DRI Director Natalie Harrower, is presenting the group’s Recommendations and Guidelines on COVID-19 data sharing, highlighting the challenges of data sharing during a pandemic. The session includes short presentations by six working group members, providing an overview of the Recommendations and Guidelines, an exploration of how public consultation and group writing operated, and particular challenges around interdisciplinarity, addressing epidemiology, legal and ethical considerations in a global context, and links to the EOSC (European Open Science Cloud) and OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development) policy.
