The Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) is delighted to share that South East Technological University (SETU) Waterford have published a new collection in the Repository: the Student Co-Researcher Collection – Digitising Cultural Heritage.

The Digitising Cultural Heritage collection serves as a dynamic example of the collaborative work of student co-researchers at SETU Waterford. Through this initiative, students explored the critical role of standards and XML in electronic data interchange (EDI), gaining hands-on experience in preserving and structuring digital information. Creators Brenda O’Neill and Kieran Cronin from SETU said: “As this project evolves, it holds the potential to welcome additional co-researchers, further expanding its scope and impact in the future.”

Included in the collection are:

  • Diocesan Treasurer’s Financial Report for the year 1876
  • Diocesan Treasurer’s Financial Report for the year 1887
  • Diocesan Treasurer’s Financial Report for the year 1886
  • Diocesan Treasurer’s Financial Report for the year 1896

These reports were originally published by The Chronicle Steam-Printing Works, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
