DRI welcomes Mashal Ahmad as Software Developer

Mashal joins the the Digital Repository of Ireland based in the Research IT group in Trinity College Dublin.

We are pleased to announce that Mashal Ahmad has joined the DRI team as Software Developer. 

Mashal Ahmad joins the the Digital Repository of Ireland based in the Research IT group in Trinity College Dublin. Mashal did her Masters in Computer Science at University College Dublin (UCD) and M.S in Software Engineering from National University of Science and technology (NUST). 

Her areas of research are Software Quality and Refactoring, Fingerprinting relational databases. Mashal has lecturing experience at COMSATS University and experience as a web developer at Ohyrus.

Commenting on her appointment, Mashal said:

I have joined the team to provide support for Europeana data to the Digital Repository of Ireland’s platform as part of Europeana Common Culture project. I will also work with 3D data in DRI’s Repository platform, including support for embedded 3D viewers and interoperability with relevant 3rd party tools in Europeana as well as for DRI. I’m also looking forward to being part of an interdisciplinary organisation and working on a variety of data topics like digital preservation, curation and archiving.
