The Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) is delighted to share that we have joined the ARIADNE Research Infrastructure (RI).
ARIADNE RI is a not-for-profit research infrastructure that provides access to over 3.5m rich data resources encompassing the archaeology and heritage of 4 continents and over 40 countries, ranging from the archaeology of the earliest hominids to the present day. Their mission is to promote, support and develop the use of digital techniques applied to the arts, humanities, cultural heritage, and in particular to archaeology. DRI has joined ARIADNE RI to benefit from training around archaeological standards and collections.
DRI Director Lisa Griffith said:
‘We are delighted to share the news that we have joined ARIADNE RI. As a research infrastructure they are committed to promoting the highest standards of data and working to share European research data. We look forward to working with them to help promote the work of Irish archaeologists and to make these outputs as accessible as possible to drive reuse.’
