DRI Director Appointed

The Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Lisa Griffith as Director of DRI. Dr Griffith has worked at DRI for seven years and has held the position of Interim Director for the last twelve months. Before taking up the post of Interim Director she held the positions of Membership Manager and Programme Manager at DRI. She represents DRI on national and international committees such as the Research Data ALliance (RDA) Funders Forum, the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) Advocacy and Community Engagement Sub-Committee, National Open Research Forum (NORF) Steering Group, and the Registry of Deeds Digitisation Strategy Advisory Group.

Before coming to DRI, Dr Griffith worked in the higher education sector and for cultural and heritage organisations. At Dublin City University (DCU) she was project manager at the Research, Innovation and Support Office. Dr Griffith has also worked in the cultural heritage sector where she spent over three years running the Culture and Heritage Programme at the National Print Museum. In this role she managed a team that delivered the training and tour guiding programme at the museum. Dr Griffith has also worked for Culture Night and the International Literature Festival. She holds a PhD in history from Trinity College Dublin, has published two books, edited two collections of academic essays and has written several articles.
