This webinar will introduce techniques for effectively processing, arranging, and describing collections of photographs. You’ll explore practical solutions to improve organisation and access to collections with photographic materials and learn more about the ways in which archival description has adapted to the unique challenges presented by digital resources.

This will help develop your visual literacy skills, devise practical solutions to processing and digitising large collections, and introduce the common metadata standards and controlled vocabularies that help to facilitate access.

This course is open to individuals from Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) member organisations. Please register in advance for this session at the registration link.

DRI is funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (DFHERIS) via the Higher Education Authority (HEA).
