This course provides an overview of metadata for beginners.

DRI's popular course "Introduction to Metadata" will be offered again on 11th November 2015, from 11.00am – 12.30pm in the Neill/Hoey Lecture Theatre, Trinity College Long Room Hub, Dublin.

This seminar introduces beginners to the term 'metadata' and its uses, and why it is vital for the preservation of our cultural heritage in digital format. We will discuss how creating good metadata can enrich the value of and give context to digital objects, and can aid in the preservation of these objects. The seminar is aimed at students, researchers, producers, and end users of cultural heritage data.

Registration is free and details can be found here. Places are limited so register soon if you are interested!
