DRI works to support those that use the Repository and we can collaborate or provide support with engagement activities across a wide range of sectors.
Engagement/ Outreach Activities
Exhibition Stands
The DRI team has supported academic communities by taking an exhibition stand at conferences and seminars. Staff can attend on site or online to support the digital preservation activities of the community.
Library Events.
DRI staff can run workshops for library staff on how to use the Repository and a walk through of pertinent collections. Staff can also be on hand to talk to community groups/ individuals in a public library venue.
Festivals/ Outreach showcases
DRI staff can attend gatherings such as history festivals or archiving showcases to talk about digital preservation and DRI member collections

The DRI team can present at conferences and seminars on a range of topics related to digital preservation.
Workshops & Talks
DRI delivers workshops and talks to both second level students and those in higher education.

DRI has facilitated workshops with many higher education institutions including running a yearly workshop as part of the Trinity College Dublin Exploring Heritage Collections module and University College Dublin’s Research Data Management module. Topics covered include: Introduction to Digital Preservation, Research Data Management, Anonymising Research Data, and Lego Metadata for Reproducibility Game.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Talks
DRI can provide an online presentation to your staff on the collections available in the Repository and theme those collections to your industry or location (e.g. Cork or Design)
