DRI Membership and Benefits

Membership Model

The Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) Membership Model has been developed to support organisations such as higher education institutions, national cultural institutions, and government agencies with their digital preservation needs.

Research Projects / Research Data: The Digital Repository of Ireland can support researchers and research projects that are seeking preservation and access for their research outputs. We advise researchers to contact us while they are developing funding applications to discuss the size of the project, the costs involved in research data management, the support the project needs, and the most appropriate method for their data to be ingested into the Repository.

For more information and to discuss options, please email members@dri.ie.

Full membership contributes significantly to the sustainability of DRI’s services.

Associate membership is envisaged for smaller organisations.

Free membership is awarded to the winner of the Community Archive Scheme.

DRI membership refers to organisations that wish to deposit collections with DRI, not to users of the Repository that wish to explore the collections. It is not necessary to register to use DRI; however, if users sign up and register and agree with our terms and conditions they can gain access to an expanded number of collections, or apply for access to more restricted collections. Users can create an account on DRI for free here.

DRI is funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (DFHERIS) via the Higher Education Authority (HEA).
