With sport and games cancelled across Ireland, the Digital Repository of Ireland is asking people to dig out their sporting memorabilia and contribute to Europeana Sport – Ireland’s Stories.

DRI is partnering with six other Irish institutions to run online campaigns focusing on specific sports, e.g. camogie, Gaelic football, horse-racing, fishing, martial arts, tag rugby, and rowing. Campaigns will start in late May 2020 and run through the summer.

The campaigns will engage with local communities and enhance local archives, while highlighting the Irish love for sport and competition. If your institution is interested in getting involved please visit here.

You can share your own sporting story or memorabilia here.

DRI is funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (DFHERIS) via the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and the Irish Research Council (IRC).
