Irish Women at Work Collection added to Europeana

Submitted on 16th April 2020

Oral history collection has been aggregated to Europeana.

We are delighted to announce that University College Cork’s Irish Women at Work collection has been aggregated to Europeana.

This oral history collection was recorded between 2000 and 2003, as part of an interdisciplinary research project in UCC. The initiative sought to illuminate the transformation of women's lives in Irish society over time and place, through sociological, literary and applied social research.

The stories focus on the working lives of women in Counties Cork, Kerry and Limerick between 1936 and 1960. The collection also includes accompanying images of the women recorded in the project.

Visit the DRI repository to access the Irish Women at Work collection, deposited by University College Cork.
