This report is published by DRI as an output of the Irish Record Linkage project.

This report, 'An Overview of Geotagging', is published by DRI as an output of the Irish Record Linkage project. The project aims allow researchers to answer questions regarding historical infant and maternal mortality using a technical platform based on Linked Data technologies. Geotagging is the name given to a series of techniques by which geospatial identification metadata is added to various types of media. This report gives an overview of this techniques and associated terminologies, which formed part of the research for the development of the project’s ontologies.

This report is published by DRI as an output of the Irish Record Linkage project. The project is funded by the Irish Research Council, and is a collaboration between the University of Limerick, the Digital Repository of Ireland and Insight at NUI Galway.
