The Irish Community Archive Network is looking for a Network Administrator

The Irish Community Archive Network is looking for a Network Administrator. This National Museum community engagement project encourages and supports communities to collect, preserve and share their local history and heritage online.

The Network Administrator delivers key functions for the project, which currently has 17 member websites with more are planned in 2019.
These include but are not limited to:
  1.  Delivering CMS training in the community, to community groups, including older people with little technical ability.
  2.  Technical Support for all websites in the network
  3.  Working with the Project Development Officer to develop and deliver an ongoing training programme, and learning resources such as digital handbooks.

The contract is for 25 hours per week over 5 months from June/July to October/November (tbc) 2019. The remuneration, including travel expenses, is €12,500.

The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills (they will receive training in our CMS), good communication (written and oral) skills, be a good ‘people person’ and have their own transport with a clean driving licence. They will need to have flexibility over their working hours as this post will involve travel to Galway, Clare and Wicklow as well as other locations around the country.
