The latest Inspiring Ireland 1916 exhibition, 'Communicating the Rising' is now online.

Inspiring Ireland 1916 is the next phase of the multiple-award-winning cultural heritage resource Inspiring Ireland It presents a brand new series of exhibitions of cultural artefacts, stories and interpretation that surround the events of 1916. The first of these exhibitions, 'Women and the Rising', went live at the launch of Inspiring Ireland 1916 on 19 January. Today sees the launch of the second exhibition 'Communicating the Rising', featuring an introductory essay by Dr Teresa Breathnach. It considers the nature and means of communicating the ideals that led to the 1916 Rising, the event as it unfolded and responses in its aftermath, featuring letters, public notices, political posters and other material.
