The Digital Repository of Ireland’s Education and Outreach Manager, Dr Deborah Thorpe, gave a presentation on open access, digital preservation, and the work of the DRI at NUI Galway Open Scholarship Week (May 11-15).

This presentation was part of a session entitled ‘Introducing the Arts and Culture in Education Research Repository’. Chaired by Dr Orla Murphy, this provided an introduction to the recently launched Arts and Culture in Education Research Repository (ACERR). The event would have been held in Galway, but was instead delivered online due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

In addition to an introduction to ACERR, attendees were given a tour of the ACERR/DRI ingest process by ACERR PhD researcher Catherine Bourne. The session closed with a stimulating round of questions and answers.

The materials from Open Scholarship Week Galway, along with the presenters’ slides, can be found on Zenodo.

DRI is funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (DFHERIS) via the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and the Irish Research Council (IRC).
