We were pleased to be invited to speak at a CONUL (Consortium of National and University Libaries) seminar in the Royal Irish Academy this week. The seminar, "Copyright Issues for Academic Libraries" was organised by the CONUL Academic and National Library Training Co-operative and attended by a number of library and information professionals. Clare Lanigan, DRI Education and Outreach Manager, spoke on the subject of 'Copyright in digital environments' and she and Digital Archivist Kev Long took questions from the attendees. The keynote talk was given by DRI Legal Advisor Eoin O'Dell, who presented an overview of principles behind current copyright legislation in Ireland and Europe.
