Information Session for the 2023 Community Archive Scheme

DRI logo with Community Archive Scheme information session 10 October join us

The Digital Repository of Ireland’s (DRI) annual Community Archive Scheme is now open. Community groups with digital collections that are archive-ready can apply until Friday 27 of October to the scheme. You can find more information on the scheme, previous winners of the award and the application form on the Community Archive scheme page on our website

To help any groups who are thinking of applying to develop their application we are running an information session on Monday 10 of October about the scheme and the application process. The session will be hosted on Zoom and will be 30 minutes long. It will be presented by DRI’s Membership Manager Lisa Griffith. The presentation will cover why digital preservation is important, the support that DRI offers through the community archive scheme, how to apply (and the application form) and who are previous winners are. You can register in advance for that session on our events page.

We’ve published an interview with one of our 2022 winners, Noel Sheerin from Tulsk History Society, on their winning application and the collection they deposited and that can be viewed on our vimeo channel. You can also explore the collection they have preserved with DRI. Our second winning organisation in 2022 was Bray Arts and their collection can also be explored in the Repository.
