Join us for Culture Night 2022 at Academy House!

Explore a lesser-known Georgian gem at the Royal Irish Academy House, uncover its rich history and unique library collections, browse the pop-up bookshop, delve into the maps and texts from the Irish Historic Towns Atlas project, learn how dictionaries are made with the Dictionary of Irish Biography, Foclóir Stairiúil na Gaeilge and Dictionary of Medieval Latin from Celtic Sources, and discover wonderful online collections with the Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI).

DRI will be highlighting two collections in particular – the Archiving Reproductive Health project collection, which provides long-term preservation and access to at-risk material generated by grassroots women’s reproductive health movements, and the Transport Infrastructure Ireland’s Digital Heritage Collections of archaeological reports. Staff from the Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) and the Archiving Reproductive Health project team will be on hand in Academy House to guide members of the public through the digital collections, including archaeological reports, and sociological data. Other DRI staff will be present to provide an overview of the Repository and its other collections.

Tá DRI maoinithe ag an Roinn Breisoideachais agus Ardoideachais, Taighde, Nuálaíochta agus Eolaíochta tríd an Údarás um Ard-Oideachas (HEA) agus tríd an gComhairle um Thaighde in Éirinn (IRC).

DRI is funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (DFHERIS) via the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and the Irish Research Council (IRC).
