Context

Ignacio Campoy Cervera is Senior Lecturer with tenure at the International Law, Ecclesiastical Law and Philosophy of Law Department of the University Carlos III of Madrid and Member of the Institute of Human Rights “Bartolomé de las Casas”, of the same University. His research interests focus on children's rights, the rights of persons with disabilities, the rights of children with disabilities, the right to a quality inclusive education, the concept and grounds of human rights, and the Rule of Law.

This twenty-minute long oral history interview was conducted by the Digital Repository of Ireland as part of The Atlantic Philanthropies archive project (2017-2020) titled Amplifying change: A history of the Atlantic Philanthropies on the island of Ireland in 2018., Ignacio Campoy Cervera was visiting lecturer at the Centre for Disability Law and Policy at the National University of Ireland Galway in 2018 when he was interviewed. In his interview he talks about civil and political rights of people with disabilities and compares Irish disability rights with other European countries., and This recording contains the personal views of the participants, they do not reflect the views of the DRI.
