Context

The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland [CFNI] is a local, independent charitable foundation, connecting people who care with causes that matter. CFNI helps communities in need, drives social change and change lives, through impactful grant-making and by delivering innovative programmes. Formerly known as Northern Ireland Voluntary Trust and founded in 1979 with a grant from the government, the Foundation has awarded over £100m to date to groups and organisations across Northern Ireland.

In 2006, the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland [CFNI] was given £275,000 for a project titled Supporting Re-integration of Ex-prisoners with the purpose to encourage the re-integration of ex-prisoners in Northern Ireland by supporting the provision of core services and the development of cross-community dialogue between groups.

Description:

The sixty-eight page long illustrated report by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland [CFNI] for the period of 2003 to 2004 includes the following chapters: Foreword, reviews, fund development, grants, more than a grant maker and accounts. The foreword includes a letter by patron Baroness Mary Gaudie as well as reviews by the chair of the CFNI board Mary Black and director of CFNI Avilla Kilmurray.
