Context

Agnes Higgins is a professor in mental health nursing within the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Trinity College Dublin and has previously trained and worked as a mental health nurse, general nurse and nurse tutor. Agnes Higgins is the co-author of reports by the Gay and Lesbian Quality Network [GLEN] titled Visible Lives (2011), a national study of the mental health and well-being of Ireland’s LGBTQ community and LGBTIreland (2016), a report that identifies the experiences and needs of senior citizens of Ireland’s LGBTQ community.
