Videos of presentations and panels given and participated in by DRI staff at this year's HEAnet conference can now be viewed online.

Videos available of DRI contributions to HEAnet conference

HEAnet, Ireland's national education and research network, held its annual National Conference this year in Galway from 9-11 November 2016. The HEAnet National Conference is an annual event which attracts delegates from across the education and research sector, as well as industry leaders and technology experts. The theme of the 2016 conference is 'Empowering Change within Education and Research'.

DRI Software Engineer Stuart Kenny spoke at the conference on the theme of "Virtually automatic deployments", covering DRI's use of private cloud and automated deployments in its development and production workflows. A video recording of the talk can be viewed here

DRI Technical Lead and Manager of Trinity College Dublin Centre for High Performance Computing Dermot Frost chaired a panel on infrastructural support for research information management. Also on the panel were Rebecca Grant, Digital Archivist at the National Library of Ireland and member of DRI's Workflows Taskforce, as well as Eoghan O Carragain of UCC, David Kane of WIT and Yvonne Desmond of DIT.
