DRI Digital Archivist Rebecca Grant, who is co-chair of the Archives and Records Professionals for Research Data Interest Group at the Research Data Alliance (RDA), has written a blog post about the formation of the group. The group was formed in 2015 and is made up of archives and records management professionals from around Europe. Its remit is to bring the skills of professional archivists and records managers to the field of research data management and to benefit the RDA as a whole.
The blog post gives an overview of the work done by archivists and records managers, explains the distinction between them and how they engage with research data management. It also discusses the Interest Group meeting at the RDA 7th Plenary in Tokyo in March. It can be viewed on the RDA Europe website here.
