Profile

Georgina McMahon is Executive Assistant at the Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI). She received a BA in the History of Art and Architecture with a minor in Classical Civilization (2014, TCD) and has undergone training in digitization, research and metadata.

Prior to the DRI she worked in the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland (RSAI) where she analyzed and digitised several hundred items from their extensive lantern slide collection. She has also worked as arts administrator and art dealer for the Origin Gallery, Upper Fitzwilliam Street D2, and for the Cill Rialaig Arts Centre, Co. Kerry. As an Assistant Researcher she worked on the Leverhulme Trust funded project 'The Impact of Diasporas on the Making of Britain' for the University of Leicester, under the Research Centre for Museums and Galleries (RCMG) department (2010, 2014).
