On 14 April, the National Heritage Week Event Organiser Training Day took place in the Gresham Hotel in Dublin. This event consisted of a series of talks covering every aspect of planning a Heritage Week event. DRI Digital Archivist Rebecca Grant gave a presentation entitled 'Research for your event: finding primary and secondary sources', outlining methods for sourcing and using heritage materials in planning an event, using repositories such as DRI and Europeana as examples.

The presentation is now available online via the DRI Slideshare account. A handout was also provided, entitled 'Online Resources for Irish Culture and Heritage Research', which is available to download here.

DRI is funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (DFHERIS) via the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and the Irish Research Council (IRC).
